
Crispy Chicken Tenders and Waffles

Crispy air-fried chicken topped with Maple Aioli served between buttery waffles creates a delicious harmony of flavors that is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
Ingredients
- Waffle Ingredients
- 6 T unsalted butter, plus more for the waffle iron (or use cooking spray for the waffle iron)
- 2 C all-purpose flour
- 1 T sugar
- 1 t baking powder
- 1 t salt
- ½ t baking soda
- 1 C sour cream
- ½ C heavy cream
- ½ C milk
- 3 eggs (4 if the eggs are smaller in size)

- 2-3 servings Just Bare Lightly Breaded Chicken Strips

- Easy Maple Aioli Ingredients
- 1 C high quality mayonnaise
- 2 T maple syrup
- 1 t freshly ground black pepper
- ½ t garlic powder
Instructions
Aioli
- Mix mayonnaise, maple syrup, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Allow to sit for 10 minutes in the refrigerator to let ingredients mingle.
- Spread a thin layer on your waffle sections to create a delicious sandwich taste profile that takes your sandwiches to the next level.
Waffles
- Melt butter and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients.
- In a medium bowl, mix all wet ingredients except the butter.
- Fold wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and then, once combined, add the melted butter to the mix and stir until smooth.
- Spray or brush your waffle iron with butter and use about ½ cup of waffle mix per waffle. The waffles should be golden brown and delicious!
- Place finished waffle on cooling rack, Section waffles into “bread-sized” portions- most waffles will yield 4 sections. Use these sections like slices of bread to build your waffle sandwich.
Chicken
- While the waffles are cooking, preheat your air fryer to 350°F.
- Place frozen chicken pieces in a basket in a single layer, spray with cooking spray and air fry for 8 minutes until the internal temperature is 165°F- golden brown and delicious.
- Once the waffles and chicken strips are cooked, assemble the sandwiches by placing 2 cooked chicken strips on top of each waffle with a healthy schmear of the maple aioli.
